For our display we set up a stall as it could have been in 1895 to raise funds for the cause and get signatures for the petition.

Victorian!!! 1885 to be precise.

This is what I wore....
My favourite for the day.

History Alive was the first re-enactment event I attended and up until 2015 I had attended with just the one group and displayed the Regency period.

2015 brought some changes:

1. I joined a Victorian group (my favourite time period).
2. My original group decided on splitting the weekend into 2 periods - Regency (Saturday) and Queensland Suffragettes ( ( Read more... )

History Alive was awesome

The tent worked beautifully without any issues.

( Some are my pics, some are Kerry's, some are Mel's )

History Alive is a week away.

I have all but finished the tent - just ties and eyelets to go on the actual tent and the poles to cut down and/or join together.

that after JAFA I would have nothing to prepare for the next event especially as they are both Regency .... wrong!!!

Next event is History Alive in June and this is on my list to do....

1. make/re-make parasol
2. finish Red bonnet (and give to sister in trade for fabric)
3. Make new basic white dress (out of said fabric)
4. make new bonnet to go with ( Read more... )
